Willow Springs faces unique challenges due to the fact that it is an active oilfield. During a recent site survey by FracTracker Alliance, two oil wells were found to be leaking in Willow Springs Park. Although not all wells were surveyed by the volunteer group that conducted the site visit, this demonstrates the dangers of continued oil operation in areas classified as sensitive receptors as per SB 1137.
